IPhone Apps: 40,000 and many more to come!!

AppstoreApple’s IPhone application shop now has 40,000 apps.

The data upto Thursday, 8-5-2009 is

Total Active Apps: 38,322
Total Inactive Apps: 2,990
Total Apps Seen: 41,312
Unique App Publishers: 11,224

This impressive peice of data has been put up by 148apps.biz.

The website by Jeff Scott has  impressive goals: “Our goal on this site is to cover everything related to development, marketing, public relations, finance, and customer support side of iPhone Applications.”

The site went live on Thursday and its name denotes the highest possible number of applications that can be stored on an iphone or ipod touch.

Some experts say that the run to create apps might create a “Bubble.”

Well, Bubble might be an exxageration but still but still it can be understood that out of the 40k-38k , few will prosper,some more will make average money and the remaining lot Will wither.

The website has bargraphs denoting weekly submission and other things.

The numbers had rose to 15days in Decmber but happily it is now at just 3 days.

The website also reports the average price of the apps.
